Software development

The world is a complicated place, and many problems cannot be solved by means of preprogrammed simulation systems. They require specially developed software. Such problems range from very simple to very complicated. Here are some typical examples of problems we have solved:

  • Programming of a special curve fitting algorithm for test data. None of the standard statistical systems would do the job exactly right.
  • Development of a simulation program for a compressor. No standard multibody dynamics simulation system could be applied due to the interplay of mechanical and thermo-dynamical properties that govern the behavior of the compressor.
  • A program to optimize the force characteristic of a combined spring-linkage system for easy operation of heavy steel gates.

Unless you are an experienced programmer and spend a significant part of your everyday work developing computer code, it probably does not pay to develop your own programs. You will end up spending more time than you expected on getting a result that does not meet your expectations.

The coding experience of Rational Engineering literally comprises hundreds of thousands of lines. We have developed very complicated software systems as well as simple algorithms that solve one specific problem. We also have the experience necessary to plan the development so that the result meets your requirements and will fit your other software systems and working methods in general.
